ROOFING GOOGLE ADS MANAGEMENT

We run Google Ads for roofing companies that want more replacements, with a campaign for each type of job, a page that fits every search and call tracking that shows which ads booked a roof.

Where roofing ad budgets go before a roof gets booked

  1. Repair clicks that never become roofs

A campaign that mixes "roof repair" and "roof replacement" spends on whichever click comes cheapest. A repair runs about $2,500 and a re-roof about $13,000, so you can pay about $230 for a replacement lead and only about $44 for a repair.

  2. A homepage at the end of the click

A homeowner who searches "metal roof cost" wants a metal roof page. Many roofing sites don't have a separate repair page and replacement page, so most ads land somewhere that can't make the case.

  3. Bidding blind

Most roofing sites don't track their ads or their calls. Without that, nobody knows which ad made the phone ring or which lead turned into a signed roof.

  4. Phones that ring out

Plenty of roofing sites promise emergency calls, and few let a homeowner book online. If nobody answers at 7 a.m. on a stormy Saturday, the next roofer on the list gets the job.

We fix all four before your budget goes live.

How we run Google Ads for a roofing company

  1. A Google Ads dashboard on a laptop
    Google Ads

    Campaigns by job type

Replacements, repairs and storm leaks each get their own budget and keywords, so a cheap repair click never spends a replacement dollar. Ads run in the hours someone answers, with a call button on every ad.

A page that matches the search

Each campaign lands on a page about that job: asphalt, metal, flat roofs or repairs, with your own roofs, your warranty and a form that asks the roof age and the town.

    AI Automation

Booked roofs sent back to Google

Every call and form is tagged with the search behind it, and tracking is tested before the first dollar is spent. A new lead gets a text in seconds with a link to book an inspection. When an estimate signs, we tell Google, so bidding learns which searches turn into roofs.

The same setup, run for a painting company

  • 8jobs booked from Google Ads
  • 20days from website launch
  • 7Xreturn on ad spend

Each service had its own page, and each ad pointed to the page that matched the search. That booked 6 interior jobs, 1 exterior job and 1 cabinet job in the 20 days after launch. A roofing account runs on the same setup: a campaign for replacements, one for repairs and one for storm leaks, each landing on a page about that job.

I'm very happy with service from Debut Marketing. Evan is very professional, responsive, and has been great helping grow my painting business online. I really appreciate their communication and the effort they put into our marketing. Highly recommend!

How a roofing ad budget moves through the year

  1. October to February

    Leak season

Repair and leak searches climb with the rain. Repair campaigns and Local Services Ads get the most budget, and a storm campaign can sit built and paused, ready to go live within hours.

  2. March to May

    Replacement research

Homeowners who patched a leak over winter start pricing new roofs. Budget moves to replacement and material searches, like metal against asphalt, and quotes given now become summer installs.

  3. June to August

    Crews are booked

Dry weather and full schedules. Repair spend comes down, replacement ads stay on at a lower level and your calendar sets the budget.

  4. September

    Last call before the rain

A short push to homeowners who want the roof done before the wet season. In October the repair and storm campaigns go back on.

Google Ads pay off for roofers who answer the phone

You're a good fit if

  • You want replacements and re-roofs, not only repair calls
  • You can name the towns you work in and drive to
  • Someone picks up during storms, or a service does
  • You can give the account 90 days and $2,000 a month in ad spend

We're not a fit if

  • You only want insurance work sent by adjusters
  • You can't take on new roofs until next year

Roofing Google Ads questions

Can't see your question? Send it with the form below or call 604-626-3100. We reply within 24 hours.

Get a Google Ads plan
How much should a roofing company spend on Google Ads?

Plan on $2,000 to $3,000 a month in ad spend for one job type in one market, plus our management fee. Roofing clicks cost more than most trades', but a re-roof is a big job, so judge the account on booked roofs over a quarter, not a week.

Can roofers use Local Services Ads in Canada?

Yes, roofers are on Google's list of Local Services Ads categories in Canada and the US (checked October 14, 2026). Screening takes 3 to 4 weeks, and our Local Services Ads post for roofers covers the rest.

How do I get replacements instead of small repairs?

Run them as two campaigns. Replacement searches like "metal roof cost" go to a page with materials, warranty and your photos, and repair searches go to a click-to-call page. Judge repairs on cost per booked call and replacements on cost per signed roof.

A repair customer with an old roof is next year's replacement, so we follow up on every one.

Is $10 a day enough for roofing Google Ads?

Not for roofing. Roofing clicks are expensive, so $300 a month buys too few leads to tell you what works. If $2,000 a month isn't there yet, start with your Google profile and reviews, and add ads when it is.

How do you handle storms and leak emergencies?

Build a storm campaign ahead of time and keep it paused. When a big wind or rain event hits, switch it on, raise bids on leak and tarp searches and update your Google profile hours. We'd keep it off until your phones are covered, because paying for calls nobody answers earns bad reviews.

How do you stop job seekers, DIYers and suppliers from clicking?

Before launch we block hiring words (jobs, salary, apprenticeship), DIY words (how to, YouTube, tutorial), supplier words (bundles, wholesale, Home Depot) and wrong-roof words (car roof, roof rack). Then we read the search terms report every week and add to the list.

Who owns the Google Ads account?

Your company does. It's opened under your business, so the keywords, the ads and every booked-roof record stay yours if you ever move on.

How long until Google Ads brings roofing leads?

Leads usually start in the first few weeks. Replacements take longer to sign because homeowners collect two or three quotes, so judge cost per booked roof at 90 days, the same window as our results guarantee.

Get more roofs booked from Google Ads

Tell us which roofs you do, where, and what a typical replacement is worth. Already running ads? Tell us that too, and we'll look at your account.

  1. We reply within 24 hours.
  2. We look at which roofing searches your competitors pay for in your towns.
  3. You get a plan and a price. If ads won't pay for your job size, we'll tell you.

P.S. Most roofers start with the Starter Package on replacements, with Local Services Ads filed in week one. Send your towns and a typical job size, and we'll say straight out whether a Google budget can pay for itself there.
