The short version
- T City Developments is a family-run Vancouver builder that specializes in duplexes and multiplexes.
- We started with the Foundation Package: a new brand and a new website with a page for every type of build and every city they work in.
- Then we ran local SEO. In 30 days they went from #97 to #4 on Google for "Vancouver duplex builders".
- A CRM now asks every finished client for a Google review, so the rating keeps pace with the rankings.
Where T City started
T City Developments builds duplexes, triplexes, multiplexes, laneway homes and garden suites across Greater Vancouver. It's a family business with more than 25 years of building behind it, and it handles design, permits and construction under one contract.
Their timing was good. In September 2023 Vancouver council approved multiplexes on most single-family lots: up to six strata homes, or up to eight if they're secured rentals. Thousands of Vancouver owners suddenly had a reason to ask what their lot could hold, and "duplex builder" became one of the most valuable searches in the city.
The problem was Google. When we started, T City sat at #97 for "Vancouver duplex builders". That's page 10. Nobody scrolls to page 10. A builder with decades of work behind it was invisible to the exact people it wanted to reach.
Debut made us a great website and got our construction company ranking locally. Couldn't be happier with the results
Step 1: a brand that looks like a builder you'd trust with your lot
People hiring someone to build a duplex are making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. They judge the builder long before the first meeting, and the brand is where that starts.
We rebuilt T City's identity around a clean, architectural mark: a T made from two columns, beside the name set in wide capitals. On the website it sits on deep navy with a mint accent. It looks like a company that builds modern homes, because it does. The same kit carries through the website, the business cards and the Google profile, so every place a homeowner meets T City looks like the same serious company.
Step 2: a website built around the question every lot owner asks
Every homeowner who calls a duplex builder wants to know the same thing first: what can I build on my lot? So that's what the website answers.
- The homepage headline is the search itself: "Trusted Vancouver Duplex Builders". Google and the homeowner both know in one line what the company does and where.
- The main button is a free lot check, not a vague "contact us". It's a reason to get in touch that has real value to the owner.
- A page for every build type: duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes and multiplexes, laneway homes, garden suites and ADUs, townhomes, custom homes, renovations and commercial work, plus lot feasibility studies.
- A page for every city they build in: Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam and North Vancouver, each with its own rules.
- Proof in the first screen: the 5.0 Google rating and a real review sit right beside the headline, and a before and after slider shows an empty lot turning into finished homes.
Before
After Step 3: local SEO aimed at the searches that pay
With a site built around the right searches, we turned on SEO. The target was clear: "Vancouver duplex builders" and the searches around it, like multiplex builders and laneway home builders in each city.
That meant making sure every page said plainly what it was about, and linking the build pages and city pages together so Google could see how the site fits. The blog answers the questions owners search before they call, like duplex versus triplex versus multiplex, and how long a duplex takes to build.
We also set T City up with a CRM for review management. Every finished client gets asked for a Google review at the right moment, without anyone at T City having to remember. Reviews are one of the strongest signals for the map results, and they're what a homeowner reads right before picking up the phone.

The results: #97 to #4 in 30 days
Thirty days after SEO started, T City was fourth on Google for "Vancouver duplex builders". It went from page 10 to the top half of page 1 for a search that builders across the Lower Mainland are fighting over.
That's fast, and we won't pretend every site moves that quickly. It worked because the foundation was right before the SEO started: a site with a page for every build and every city, a strong Google profile, and real reviews coming in. SEO on a weak site is slow and expensive. SEO on a site built for it can move in weeks.
What other builders can take from this
- Put the search in the headline. If you want to rank for "Vancouver duplex builders", your homepage should say it, plainly, in the first line.
- Answer the owner's first question. For a builder that's "what can I build?" For a roofer it might be "repair or replace?" Build the site around it.
- One page per build type and per city. A single "services" page can't rank for ten different searches.
- Automate the review ask. A CRM that asks every client makes sure your best jobs turn into reviews.
- Foundation before SEO. Rankings moved in 30 days because the brand and site were built for it first.
The Foundation Package is how T City started. See our local SEO service for the next step, or our marketing for general contractors and construction companies.
